MOORPARK, CA – (April 28, 2011) NAI Capital, a leading Southern California commercial real estate brokerage headquartered in Encino, represented Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBA&D) in the purchase of a 265-acre M2 zoned private office/manufacturing/warehouse campus in Moorpark, California.   The transaction value was not disclosed.
Bill Kiefer, SIOR with NAI Capital’s Ventura County office and Tim Foutz of NAI Capital’s Encino office represented EBA&D in the purchase of the complex which includes +/-166,628 square feet of buildings situated on top of a private hilltop at 14370 White Sage Road, just off of the Simi Valley 118/23 Freeways.
Headquartered in Simsbury, Connecticut, EBA&D provides diversified energetic systems for missiles, space launch vehicles and ground vehicles.  The company has occupied the White Sage Road property on a lease term since early 2010.
Kiefer noted that the original occupants of the property, Special Devices Incorporated’s (SDI) Defense & Aerospace Group, was acquired by Ensign-Bickford in March of last year.
The seller, WP Carey & Company, LLC was represented by Nick Gregg and Sterling Champ of CBRE.
