SIMI VALLEY, CA – Michael Schiff of NAI Capital’s Westlake Village office represented the Landlord, South Street Center LLC, in the lease of the 20,000 sq. ft. retail space to Cost Plus World Market. The big box space is located in the shopping called El Paseo Simi at 2910 Tapo Canyon Road in Simi Valley, CA. The value of the lease transaction was over $2.8M.
“Cost Plus World Market is in a very slow expansion mode right now therefore they’re being very selective and only doing deals when it is a perfect fit for them. El Paseo Simi, which is also anchored by Kohl’s and Pavilions, is the most upscale neighborhood shopping center in Simi Valley and is just the type of upscale center Cost Plus World Market loves to be in. We were able to generate a lot of interest and multiple offers on the prominent space previously occupied by Borders, but we felt Cost Plus was the best choice because they complement the center and the tenant mix perfectly.” said Schiff.
The Center has excellent street visibility, signage, ample parking and features a beautiful design, lush landscaping and water fountains.
The property is located just off of the 118 freeway at Tapo Canyon Road and Alamo Street.
