NAI Capital Represents the Fountain Valley School District in a $14.7 Million Dollar Lease to Montessori
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA – David Knowlton, CCIM, SIOR and Steve Ehrich, both SVPs with NAI Capital’s Orange County office, represented the Landlord, Fountain Valley School District, in the long term lease of a 40,073 sq. ft. school facility on 13 acres located at 9790 Finch Avenue in Fountain Valley, CA. The property was leased to LePort Schools, represented by Nick Carey with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, with a lease transaction value of approximately $14.7 million.
David Knowlton with NAI Capital notes “The subject property is a former K-8 school, Fred Moiola Elementary School that was closed by the District in 2012. The District maintained the facilities in excellent condition and decided to lease the property on a long-term basis rather than sell. The site was widely marketed and the transaction was facilitated via a public bidding process.” LePort Schools has multiple locations in the LA Basin and intends to relocate its Huntington Beach Montessori facility (Preschool – 8th grade) to this new site.
