Fifth Third Bank to Open in the Syndicate Building

Workers are putting up walls for a Fifth Third Bank branch scheduled to open in about four months in 3,900 square feet of ground-floor space at the Syndicate Trust building downtown.
Most of the 16-story building in the 900 block of Olive Street has been redone as condos and apartments. And most of them are occupied. But the ground-floor space has struggled to attract tenants. So far, the only open business is a Clarkson Eyecare outlet.
Fifth Third is taking the corner space just west of Clarkson. John Shuff, a broker at NAI Desco, said today the bank has signed a 10-year lease. More tenants may be coming to the building soon, Shuff added.
Potential tenants include a restaurant, a clothing retailer and perhaps office users, he said. Shuff noted that the 14,000 square feet of ground-floor space remaining is too small to accommodate all the potential tenants.
“We’re trying to put as many irons in the fire as possible,” he said.

Baseball Training Facility to Open in O’Fallon, Mo.

Congratulations to John Sheahan, Jr., SIOR and Floyd Sweeney, SIOR, MCR of NAI DESCO for assisting the landlord and tenant respectively in the lease of a 21,036 square foot industrial building at 106-108 N. Cool Springs Rd in O’Fallon, Mo. The new tenant, the Fieldhouse Training Center, will feature indoor batting and pitching facilities for aspiring baseball stars. The landlord was MP Industries, Inc.
Workplace Wellness Company Moves into Laumeier Office Park

John Sheahan, Jr., SIOR of NAI DESCO successfully represented H&H Health Associates in their lease of 4,838 square feet of office space at the Laumeier Office Park. The new headquarters of H&H Health Associates will be at 3660 S. Geyer Rd, Suite 100 in Sunset Hills, Mo. The company provides Workplace Wellness and Employee Assistance Program Services to their clients. Bluerock Property Management, Inc. is the landlord.
St. Louis Safety Leases Warehouse space in Chesterfield Valley

Dan Hayes of NAI DESCO recently completed the lease of 8,847 square feet of industrial space at 17993 Chesterfield Airport Rd in Chesterfield (Valley). Hayes represented the tenant, St. Louis Safety Inc., in the lease of the warehouse space from Insight Holdings, LLC. St. Louis Safety is the distributor of a full line of personal and industrial safety products.
Auction House Leases Space in O’Fallon, Mo.

John Sheahan, Jr., SIOR of NAI DESCO recently completed the lease of a 12,500 square foot industrial building located at 605 Arrow Lane, O’Fallon, Mo on behalf of the tenant, MAC Sales, LLC. The new tenant will host monthly dealer to dealer auctions at the facility. In addition, they will use the space to store merchandise, primarily RVs, boats and construction equipment, between auctions. The landlord was Partners Group, LLC.
Fitness Fuzion Leases Space in Former Hardware Store

Floyd Sweeney, SIOR, MCR of NAI DESCO recently completed the lease of 9,000 square feet of retail space located at 921 Highway K in O’Fallon, Mo. Sweeney leased the space, which was formerly a True Value hardware store, on behalf of the landlord, St. Louis Ventures, LLC. The space was leased by The Fitness Fuzion, a fitness studio specializing in Zumba.
Large Industrial Building Sold in Pacific

Dan Hayes of NAI DESCO recently completed the sale of a 85,00 square foot industrial building located at 15 Industrial Dr in Pacific, Mo. to WROB Company, LLC. Hayes represented the seller, Abell Real Estate Partnership. In addition to the building, the sale also included 4.179 acres of undeveloped land adjoining the building.
