Assurity Life Insurance Co.’s new five-story corporate headquarters in the Antelope Valley area is out-of-the-ground and progressing for their 2011 summer occupancy. The building design is LEED certified Gold and will feature many “green” aspects such as a green roof and exterior window shading to allow for more natural light.

Elite Professionals Home Care Company has purchased 3901 Faulkner Blvd, a 12,310 square foot office building in the Williamsburg area. They previously leased space at 301 S. 70th Street. Elite’s services include: Care Companions, home health aides, skilled nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Tom Graf and Mike Ball, NAI FMA Realty represented the seller, Ritchie Bros.
UBS, a global financial services firm, is consolidating two local offices into a larger office in the Village Gardens Development at 56th & Pine Lake Road. UBS will occupy nearly 13,000 square feet on the second floor of the newer retail building at 5800 Hidcote. The new office is scheduled to be completed by October 1st. Forbes.com recently ranked Lincoln #9 out of 200 mid-sized metropolitan areas for being one of “America’s Most Livable Cities”. Out of all of the 200 cities surveyed, Lincoln had the lowest unemployment rate at 4.9%. Omaha ranked #5.

The voters of Lincoln approved the proposed Haymarket Arena bond issue by 56% to 44% yesterday according to unofficial results. Their approval means the city can proceed with construction of a 16,000-seat arena west of the downtown post office and the construction of new streets, bridges and parking to support it. A huge victory for the city of Lincoln!
