Planning Commission OKs Proposal for CVS at 27th and Old Cheney
Oct 7th
Despite some opposition to the proposal for a development that includes a new CVS Pharmacy on the NWC of 27th & Old Cheney, the Planning Commission approved the zoning change from office to retail oriented. The zoning changes allows Assurity Life Insurance Co. to tear down the office building on the corner to make room for a 13,300-square-foot CVS and an attached 8,500-square-foot retail building. An 11,700-square-foot retail and office combo building would be built later with an 8,700-square-foot office building being the final piece.
The proposal will now go in front of the City Council in 2 1/2 weeks. To read the full Journal Star article, click here.
