NAI FMA Realty, a locally-owned commercial real estate firm, is commemorating 50 years in business in 2011 with a $5,000 grant to Family Service Association of Lincoln.
“We wanted to show our thanks to the community that we have helped to build. The Board of Directors designated an amount that we felt would benefit an organization that provides vital services to our community,” said NAI FMA chairman Tom Ball.
Drew Stange, president, said, “At this special time in our history we wanted our associates to determine out of all the well-deserving service providers in Lincoln which one they wanted to support with this donation. We asked them to name organizations that they support or that have provided assistance to them or a friend in a time of need. The response we received was tremendous and to narrow the list down was difficult but after a company-wide close vote, Family Service came out on top. We learned a lot about our associates through this process and we’re pleased to join them in support of this organization.”
Family Service is dedicated to serving families with young and/or school-age children and offers a variety of programs to help strengthen and assist them. The particular program to receive the donation will be the Early Childhood and Development Programs, where the donation will provide financial support for low-income families in need.
Barry Gourley, Executive Director of Family Service, said, “I am proud that together we can provide an active learning environment for children to encourage initiative, independence and creativity. We are truly blessed that NAI FMA chose to support Family Service with a donation in honor of their 50th Anniversary Celebration.”
In addition, NAI FMA associates will volunteer their time to support various programs within the agency through assisting in landscaping the playground of the Early Childhood Center; setup and tear down for a summer program event, and assembling school packets later this summer.
NAI FMA Realty offers comprehensive commercial real estate services including brokerage, property management, facility maintenance, lease administration, accounting and related consulting and advisory services. To learn more, visit www.naifmarealty.com.
