Jon Fischer, MAI, a Managing Director in NAI Global’s New York City office, received his LEED GA (Green Associate) designation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). He is one of only a few professionals nationwide holding MAI credentials (Members of the Appraisal Institute) to earn this designation.

LEED Green Associates have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System. The LEED Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Fischer joined NAI Global earlier in 2010 and is part of NAI Global’s Special Asset Solutions team. He began his career as a real estate appraiser in 1985 and later served as Director of Corporate Real Estate at Prudential Financial, where he was responsible for a portfolio of more than 1,000 properties with receipts and lease payments in excess of $240 million. Other career highlights include serving as a Vice President at Peracon Inc., where he helped establish the firm as the leading online institutional sales platform in the U.S., and working with Deloitte and Touche’s Realty Consulting Group regarding institutional grade properties throughout the U.S.

Fischer holds an Associate Broker’s license in New York, a Salesperson’s license in New Jersey, and is a Member of the Appraisal Insititute. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
